I don't think so, I know so. But not the kind that flies around in broomsticks, like someone else said before me.
Witches, or Wiccans, are the followers and practicioners of Wicca, an Earth-centered religion that uses witchcraft in its practice.
"Many Wiccans use the word "Witch" as a synonym for "Wiccan." Others have abandoned the term Witch; they feel that centuries of religious propaganda have given the term such a negative meaning that it cannot possibly be salvaged. There is a common belief among Wiccans that to abandon the word is to defame the memories of the tens of thousands of Witches and other heretics who were accused of "Witchcraft," were individually tortured and executed during the Christian "Burning Times," circa 1450 to 1792 CE."

As a personal side note, although I do not necessarily believe in Magick, Wicca is one of the religions I sympathize most with. I'll leave you with a few sites for you to make some research if you're interested in knowing more.

Yes witches do exist. I guess if you are looking for the Harry Potter type, no but there are real witches, focusing and bending earth energies to produce predetermined results. Your definition of the word witch is the variable, determining the answer. But yes we do exist, we are ppl and most of the time you can't tell by looking.

Witches do exist. Checkout the religion of Wicca. It is all about good deeds and positive works. They are are completely harmless... they worship the earth, seasons, rain, etc. People fear them because early Christianity cast a negative spell on Wiccans to get everyone to convert. Research the history of holidays, such as, Christmas and Easter. They are actually Pagan holidays adapted into Christianity to get Pagans to convert.

yes they do.
Real Witches DO NOT......
Hurt people physically, mentally, spiritually, or magickally. Real witches have taken an oath to help people, not hurt people. You are not a real witch if you do hurt others.
Take illegal drugs. It is against the law, and it messes our bodys and minds up. Why bother??? It screws up our mind, and a witches magick will not work if our mind doesn't.
Work black magick. Witches know whether in this world or the astral world, whatever you do comes back three times three times three. If you do good stuff you will be rewarded, if you do bad stuff you will pay the price, and so dearly you will pay. Wiccans have a saying that goes: Ever mind the rule of three, what you send out comes back to thee.
Fly in the sky on brooms. We drive vehicles like evryone else.
Eat babies. We love babies, and plus...ew!
Kill animals. We love animals, they are the goddess' creatures, we love pets and honor our pets like everyone else.
Call themselves "Warlocks". Warlock means truth twister and betrayer. A witch is called a witch no matter what gender.
Steal or break the law. We think that stealing from someone else is like stealing from ourselves, and that would just be stupid.
Summon demons. How stupid do you think we are???
Worship the Christian devil. We don't belive in Satan.. To name somthing is to give it power, we don't wish to give power to evil things.
Belive in the Christian hell. We belive that when we do bad things we will pay either in this life or the next.
Brainwash people to join us. We belive in the power of free will.
Use satanic symbols. The witches penticle, or five pointed star with a circle around it represents the four elements of life, and the body surrounded by the love of the spirit.
Become witches over night. It takes alot of dedication and study to become an adept wiccan, we don't say a word then we are a witch, it doesen't work like that.
Always work magick. We do alot, but we also prey to our maker and the angels above.
Work magick on somone without their permission. If you do a spell on someone without their knowledge it will return to you times three. We belive in free will, don't destroy that!

Of course. I am a practising witch. You will find lots of questions on here from Pagans, Witches and Druids. I asked one recently about spellcasting. Witchcraft is a recognised, matriarchal religion in the UK.

yeah, they are just around us.the townfolks in our place believe that my grandmother is a witch.everytime she gets mad at a person, that person will get sick for no reason and really weird disease like cockroaches and worms are coming out of their pus-swollen legs.ive seen it myself.she is also very strong at the age of 95 she doesnt use any cane and can go anywhere without help.she was also seen before by my brother in law to have been grazing in the field.it is believe in our place that the witches do graze in the field to eat grass during the full moon as to gain more strength.she died last year at age of 104 and until now we cousins dont know to whom she did left her legacy, her chest full of weird things and was never opened even after she died :)

Yes, there is this village in Gujarat named as Popatpura. I have seen so many witches there. They use to do rituals on the night of 'Amaavasya', when there is no moon.
