We have a sign ordinance in our City that says political signs may not be put up sooner than 45 days prior to the election. The first day for absentee voting is 9/28/2006. If the election "starts" when the first ballot is cast, then the absentee voting date would seem to be a probable start date.

Day after the last one ended. Or the when last law suit from the last election has ended.

the city mayor or an authorised officer is required to declare that elections would be held on a particular date. usually the announcement is made before 45 days. the notice about polical announcements start from then on.

just after the govenment seems to be giving the people of the country so many perks suddenly.
