No. If it were you could bet there would be lawsuits to come out of it, not to mention boycotts as well as thousands of Gay people spamming their boards.

Rumours are merely lies spread to cause dissent. Don't wonder and spread gossip, FIND OUT!.

I am a Christian. I never complained about the Gay Section. Come on people, lets get real! You can't just pretend something doesn't exist and hide it away out of sight.

I'm straight myself but I do not hate gay people. I just don't agree with being Gay myself and don't encourage others to be.

But we all have the right to our own beliefs so long as we do not actually impose or force those beliefs on others.

That would be disturbing, I thought this was a place to communicate and express ourselves to eachother. Especially this section! If it does shut down, I hope we all take our concerns to the Christian section, if they're the ones at fault that is. What happened to free speech? People against this section need it more than anyone so as to educate themselves and move away from the destructive predjudice they so willingly spread. Come out of the Dark Ages people!

Anything is possible. But not likely. If anything, Yahoo may in the future, change or move the GLBT section. But I doubt that will even happen. And that is just my opinion. To many people have questions about the GLBT community and there are an equal amount of people with answers to those questions. The ultra fundamentalists who are anti everything will more then likely just stop by the GLBT section from time to time and spout their hate messages disguised as loving messages about Jesus.I know better.I am a Christian. And I am gay.

The rumor fake. it rather is not shutting down. The 'information' replaced into revealed with the help of a tabloid. to quote the business enterprise: "We did no longer get the memo approximately shutting down, so we are going to keep working away like continuously. we're not going everywhere; we are basically getting began." So there you circulate, facebook is right here to stay. :)

Why do so many so called Christians continue to visit the gay section? Are they closeted gays or seeking advice? I do not spend my time harassing there sites.

If that's why they shut it down, then there's a problem. That is direct homophobia - it's discrimination, and I, for one, wouldn't stand for it. I'm not even a big answerer in this category, but people should be allowed to have some freedom of speech!

no it is not! There are plans to move the gay section into the religion one! :D
Personally I don't see why gay section is here in cultures and groups!

Rumors are just that... lies developed to incite panic and anger. Don't pay attention to them... just yet. The Christian Fundamentalists (note the extreemists... not the everyday Christians) that claim to be so Godly are not in complete control yet... and Yahoo seems diverse enough to stand its ground.

I hope not. If the christian section doesn't like us gays then they shouldn't read this section.

christians are ok as such, but i do object to them expecting me to become one so as to rid myself of my sin....i find it patronising and an insult.

not arl christians evangelise, they just try to live ethically same as me and lots of other none christians.

am actually a protestant, but i don't believe in christ or the bible, so i don't count myself as a christian, just was brought up that way. am more of a free thinker now, perhaps i should try to convert evangelicals to freethinking?... ;o)

as for is this site going to be closed down, i don't know, be daft if they did, and if they did, i agree, the religion and spirituality site should be closed down too. have you not noticed how loving most of us lgbts on here are? twud be unfair on both lgbts, and spiritual folk: am both lesbian and spiritual, so i would miss both, and would like to retain both sites.
