According to his biography in the NT of the Bible, he was a baby at the time so it was his mother and Joseph her husband who did the running. They are said to have fled to Egypt. In my mind that has always been in North Africa, but it is possible that Egypt may have been ruling Sinai peninsula at the time, in which case, is the peninsula in Asia or Africa?! And how far did they go?

Jesus didnt run from King Herod,You maybe thinking of the roman installed governor,Herod Antipas, who the pharasees told Jesus to avoid, and not go to Jerusalem because he would be killed there, and Jesus "set his face like flint toward Jerusalem",but ,to answer the question, it would be E: Asia Minor.

If you mean the Flight into Egypt, then it's Africa. But it's quite possible the whole story was invented so that the Jewish Exodus would prefigure his return, and Old Testament phrases like "Out of Egypt have I called my son" would become fulfilled prophecies.

King Herod the Great died in 4 A.D.
Jesus was just a kid then. Although Jesus was born in Bethlahem, his folks moved back to Nazareth after his birth.

Point of interest. Nazareth was NOT founded as yet; it would take yet another 200 years. He was called Nazarean because it was a SECT of Jewish zealots called Nazareans. That is a gross misinterpretation. Joseph was said to be a carpenter (as was JC) but there is a difference between a wood worker and a Master (as in a craftsman). But, back to "Nazarean," if JC was called a carpenter does that imply that he was from "Carpenteria"? Please bear in mind, Nazareth was named AFTER the Nazareans, the zealots of which JC was believed to be one (and not that as a Nazarean he came from the area that was founded about 200 years later!).

His parents took him down to Egypt, on the continent of Africa.
He was under two years old at the time, and his parents took him because they were warned in a dream.

There are some traditions that have he fled to or towards Eygpt which is in Africa. However, others say he never really left ancient Judea which would mean he was in Asia.
