My computer is a windows 98 and has only 4 GB, but recently a lady gave away her windows 98 to us and it has 10 GB. I like my computer better, so can I transfer the ram from the other computer to mine? They are both pretty much the same computer, only minimal differences.

BOB R what on Earth are you talking about? I'm just asking if it's possible to move space from one compuer to another, I don't have any intentions other than that.

I'll assume you're talking about a hard drive because a computer that is running Win98 has a motherboard that doesn't support having so much memory.

Yes, assuming you have enough cable and power supply for it you can add it, or replace your other hard drive with it.

I'd be prepared to reformat that hard drive though, without doing so, once it boots up it'll probably not take very well to all the new devices that it has to find drivers for.

Seriously, you haven't given enough information about your intentions, I think, for others to provide advice--not that you should take any advice from the non-lawyers you'll find here anyway. A great deal of fiction is based on fact, inspired by actual incidents and people ("names changed to protect the innocent, " etc.). Sometimes that fiction is not flattering to those it portrays. It's done all the time. My lawyer friends tell me an important element is "intent" -- that is, do you intend to do harm to the individuals about whom you write. Can your work be characterized as malicious?
