I am very scared about the delays with the ps3 overseas. I am a hard-core Playstation fan but i now have questions about the ps3 being realesed on time, please put my fears to rest about the ps3, it doesen't look like that Sony has there stuff straight.

The PS3 is launching in the US and Japan in November. Only 400,000 units will be ready at launch in the US and only 100,000 in Japan. In Europe, the PS3 launch is being pushed back to March. The delay is because they don't have enough Blu-Ray drives for the PS3s and they're manufacturing more.
And for what it's worth (not much), I agree with the other posters. The PS3 is way, way too expensive. I wonder how badly the pricing is going to hurt sales on launch day.

I agree with the above poster... The PS3 was the console I was the most interested in, but at that price, no way!
Ah well, it has made the news though about the delay, so it seems that I won't be able to put your fears to rest :

As far as I know, PS3 is still targetted on Nov., and XBox360 is already planning a discount price in Japan prior to that to kill the release.
You can register in Amazon for the product alert when it arrives. Just search google for "ps3 site:amazon.com" or amazon.co.uk if you are uk resident, and you can register for notification when it arrives.

They can push the release of PS3 forever as far as I am concerned. TOOOOOOO expensive! $399 too rich for my family!
