so the guy i love was joking around the other day, and even though he knows i like him the joke went too far and he ended up saying 'coz i don't like you' and even though it was a joke i got mad. he came up to me awhile afterwards and asked me was i in a bad mood with him which the answer was 'yeh i ******* am!! just **** off!!' one time we fell out before and he came grovelling back to me all apologetic and 'someone told me you hated me'... but yesterday he growled at me a lot and kept his distance... i really love him and hes a great friend and i dont know what to do... advice anyone?

Be sure in any relationship to set boundaries on what acceptable to joke about. If something is said that could be takin the wrong way, try not to get mad, & realize that the person is only joking. Let them know though that what they said did have a painful sting to it & you would rather they not joke in that way.

I would have to say that he is in the wrong. It's ok to tease but you shouldn't be saying hurtful things at the other person. If this continues you might better find yourself somebody thats going to respect you more.

stop listening to other people, obviously there is a trust problem between you if you believe what others say over direct communication. you both lack the maturity to be sensitive to each others feelings. open communication is what you need to do between each other. sit down with him and have an honest dialog.
