Now that this football calendar year is over who do you think will win the next FIFA World Player of the Year award? I know that there is still some football to be played in the early stages of the up coming season but i thought we could start the discussion now. What are your thoughts?

ZIDANE ALL THE WAY!!!!!! I think that Ronaldinho doesn't shine much this year,he is a great player,but he doesn't seem really great this year..It's still too early for Lampard,Kaka,Gerrard,Eto'o and Terry to win that award..they have more to prove before they can really win it,but they do have great potentials,maybe next time for them,not this time..Cannavaro and Henry have proven to the world what excellent players they are,but I think Zidane is way much better than the two of them..as for Ronaldo,he is same as Ronaldinho,didn't shine much,but he is a great one for sure..so I think,Zidane deserves it more than anyone else,at least for 2006/2007..hopefully,it will be given to Zidane,the legend..^_^

take Zidane out of your list. Anyone who got red carded on the final match of the World Cup and tainted the image of Football has no chance of winning the Player of The Year Award unless they Bribe the FIFA officials. it will be either Ronaldinho or Kaka although I am leaning towards Ronaldinho.

ahh wayy to early to be disscussing but its alright. zidane is retired so he can't get tha player of the yr award for 06/07 season. also, thierry henry isn't playing his best. i think if from your list, it should be between Eto'o, Ronaldinho or Kaka. But i'm sure it'll be Ronaldinho again!
