i hav 250GB sata hard disk, now i'm useing xp but i wish to install fedaro core 5 how can i do this with out deleting xp?
i have four partitions in my hard disk (c,d,e,f) i wish to put fedarocore5 in f patition how can i do this and am i play a mp3 song in fedaro core which save in drive e?

You can easily do that. First you need to make the partition f empty. Then you can start the installation process. The Linux installation process detects the windows installation and asks you to install Linux in a different partition, at that time you can choose the partition you want fedora to install. Linux does not tell you the name of partitions as c,d,e etc,but it will give it different names such as sd1,sd2,sd3 etc. So you have to figure out which is your f drive. After that choose the default partitioning scheme suggested to continue installation, also choose GRUB as default boot loader.

This will keep the previous windows installation intact, and install Linux on different partition. After installation is complete,during boot process you get the choice of which OS you want to boot from.

If you do not see windows being recognized by the Linux installation process, then terminate the installation immediately. In such case you may have to use a different distribution of Linux.

When you install OS, it ask you where you want to install. Choose the partition you like and install.

You need a software like vmware. This will emulate ur fedora and you don't have to create aditional drives.
