i think you would require education levels of some sort and it would probably help if you could spell the actual title software engineer......

That will be decided by hard work and intelligence, not by a degree alone. But since you will need to put in the work anyway, wouldn't you rather have the piece of paper to show for it? By the way, the first language you'll need to improve on is English. I've read that creator of the C++ language, Bjarne Stroustrup, advocates English as a necessary language for software engineering. Sure you can. you can do anything you want if you have the right attitude..i had a friend who knew nothing about teaching and there were many others who signed up for the teaching job and they choose my friend and now she has learned and also taught,so anything can happen if you believe in yourself and have the confidence,and the right attitude..I really believe this.Also one more thing i`d like to mention.some people who has gone to collage learned nothing and say someone who never finished school learned alot more then the one who went to college.

for a software eng. logic is the main factor than certificaes...
u learn languages n show wht u can...then only ppl accept u..

yes. do your own stuff.. create your own software as a portfolio. i think the only way is : portfolio talks.
