Why do people lie to the ones that they love. The people in your life that you choose to love are the ones that you should always be honest with no matter what. Yet some people lie to their loved ones more then they probably lie to anyone else in there life. Aren't those the people that we should be protecting from the untruth in this world. Weather it be a family member, a partner in a relationship, or a close friend, when & if you lie to these people in your life.... why?

It depends on the lie, and how strong the other's ego is. Flooring them when it doesn't make for a better relationship, I ask you, is it really worth it.

I lie because loved ones don't understand the choices i make and give me a really hard time about things. It breaks my heart but is necessary to try to avoid conflict. I pretty much always get found out and it makes it worse, but I initially do it to attempt to preserve their feelings. good intentions - but it usually doesn't work that way.

A lie can keep a relationship together. u have to remember the truth can hurt.

I do not do this, nor understand it. It seems to me that anyone who does is likely not as in touch with their feelings as they'd like to think. I believe the people that do this want to love the person they're lying to but just don't, or either they don't fully grasp the concept of love.

those are white lies to avoid hurting them.. truth hurts that's why people are scared to tell.. although for me, truth hurts for a while but lies can kill you forever..
