my bf and I broke up after 4.5 years... we broke up 2.5 months ago. We caught up last week and we are very very good friends.
While we were catching up he mentionted that he was NO WHERE NEAR READY to move on, but was sensing that i was VERY CLOSE TO MOVING ON.
The next night he moved on and I feel as if im not ready to move on now.

Can u tell me why he would tell me he wasnt ready to move on but then did so the next night? He made it clear to me that he thought i was ready but he was no where near ready.. I know him and he DIDNT just say it to look good. He meant it when he said he WASNT ready and that he thought i was..

but the next night he moved on.. any clues as to how u can go from being no where ready to ready in a day??

I think he was insecure as to what to tell you so that you wouldn't feel bad about him moving on....he was contradicotry in my opinion, I mean you cant's say you're nowhere near moving on but feeling very close to it....Perhaps he wasn't ready to move on, but when he saw you again he got scared that you two might hook up again so suddenly decided it's time to move on, guys often do that when they are scared and insecure. My guess is he doesn't know himself what he wants...so you should stop trying to figure it out..

As u meet him after a long brake he find u sexy and inviting, but as a manhood he don't want to show u that he is loosing against u, so he said this, but actually he was having a crush on u, and he can't hold himself for long, and moved on.

Perhaps he felt that you had moved on and therefore there was little point him remaining in the same frame of mind and made a mental effort to put your relationship behind him as he felt you had.

It is called shifting the guilt. He wanted to be able to say that he broke off and was not dumped.

I don't know. He's sending you mixed signals. Do you still want to be with him? Talk to him about it.
