my bf and I broke up after 4.5 years... we broke up 2.5 months ago. We caught up last week and we are very very good friends.
While we were catching up he mentionted that he was NO WHERE NEAR READY to move on, but was sensing that i was VERY CLOSE TO MOVING ON.
The next night he moved on and I feel as if im not ready to move on now.

Can u tell me why he would tell me he wasnt ready to move on but then did so the next night? He made it clear to me that he thought i was ready but he was no where near ready.. I know him and he DIDNT just say it to look good. He meant it when he said he WASNT ready and that he thought i was..

but the next night he moved on.. any clues as to how u can go from being no where ready to ready in a day??

this person he has hooked up with may not be anyone he would consider for a serious type relationship...maybe he will keep her company to fill in a bit of a gap.
also after seeing you again him believing that you are ready to move on may have triggered something off in his head to push himself forward.
or last but not least he may of said it to not hurt your feelings

hope these make sense and helps with any confusion you maybe experiencing.
good luck

He has had 2.5 months to get over you ...In that time he probably was building relationships with other people ,seeing you brought back old feelings and he was confused, and unfortunately the other person he was dating might of said yes to a relationship.

it sounds to me like your ex was trying to give you encouragement to move on because he knew he was close to it himself. by saying you were much more ready than he, may in his mind, have taken some of the guilt away about finding a new interest.

i don't think he did what he to be mean. i think he had good intentions even if they were somewhat confusing.

Chill out,honey..!! it's true that sometimes when you sit back and think of moving on you get terrified and frustrated.. I believe that mind in such case isn't good advisor... Listen to your heart.. Go out on a date with him and let it flow.. don't think.. let things happen on their own way it is sure that moving on is what you want deep inside..

As u meet him after a lengthy brake he discover u eye-catching and beautiful, yet as a manhood he do not favor to expose u that he's loosing hostile to u, so he suggested this, yet honestly he replaced into having a weigh down on u, and he can't carry himself for lengthy, and moved on.

Let me just outline one probability. It takes less than several minutes for man and woman to meet, embrace, find a secluded place, and get it on.

Is that moving on enough for you?
