How do you get over the fear of pitbulls?

Question

i just hate to see those dogs and other dangerous types because i had a dog and he was attacked by them. so now when i go jogging i freak out if i see one because people are irresponsible and don't keep them on the leash

oh and please don't write how nice they are because there's a big time difference if you get attacked by a labrador retriever or a pitbull

i'd love to have a dog but i'm too afraid. so now i have a bunny instead, :))

forget about the stick etc because nothing will help you with a pitbull

Handgun & Pepper Spray.
Use as follows:
Pepper spray for the dog.
Handgun on the owner. Apply Liberally.

Europe- pepper spray AND big stick. Same rules as above.

When you go jogging, carry a stick. A dog is always intimidated by the sight of a human carrying a weapon. i trust many of the thoughts about pit bull attacks are very actual, and that i'm particular very scary, besides the undeniable fact that- pit bulls did not make the record in our city as a fashionable biter. wager who did? everybody's trendy Labrador Retriever! the subsequent on the record- German Shepards. Rottweilers and Pit Bulls made up decrease than 2% of all suggested dogs bites in a million 365 days. The breed has been badly contaminated by undesirable breeding practices, and that i do no longer doubt for a million minute that something of their mind isn't functioning wisely. i do not care WHO owns the dogs- if it truly is bred poorly- ANY dogs is liable to behavioral and health themes. i do no longer trust in BSL how that's now- yet BREEDER particular law.

You can get over it, but I'm not sure I'd want to. They're one of the most notorious breeds you can get. It's true, not all of them attack people or animals, but I wouldn't want to take that chance, especially if it isn't on a leash or muzzled. My daughter has one and swears he's as gentle as a lamb. I told her to keep the 'lamb' to herself and at her house, that he wasn't welcome at mine.
My home owner's insurance would drop me in a heartbeat, if I got a pit bull and they told me this without hesitation.
The baton idea sounds good and so does the gun idea, but don't use the gun against the owner of the dog, use it against the dog. Let the law deal with the owner and remember that there's no law against being a stupid dog owner until it bites some one.

Being afraid of pit-bulls is OK. They are in fact
D A N G E R O U S !!! Nothing helps against them.
As You should know, we have too many dogs here
in Berlin, and if there is a terrible fight, there is always
a pit-bull involved. And there are always humans,
who get hurt(1). And there is another — mostly innocent
beautiful — dog, that gets killed...

Not sure if this would work for pitbulls but I have a severe creepiness from spiders. To compensate for that sense of creepiness I kill them on sight. Crush every spider I see. That works for me....unfortunately I have to be careful about which pet store I walk into.
