sure you can, look at your laptop bottom, you will find a word RAM or Memory on small plastic cover which have two screws or something like this, remove this plastic cover, and you find the ram, you can install, replace, upgrade, what ever you want!

Pretty much the only things upgradable on a laptop are RAM and hard disk drive. As long as the cd drive has standard connection and form, it can too sometimes. The video card, network card, and sound cards are all integrated onto the motherboard and there are no additional ports for adding hard drives (on MOST laptops. some support dual drives, so you can add one). To the guy above, All laptops have a different limit to how much RAM they can support. And no laptops in the world except two or three enthusiast models from a few years ago support switchable graphics cards. It's possible to upgrade the processor, but you really have to know what you're doing. Also, each laptop has a custom made motherboard just for that model family. For example, the HP dv66xx series included many models with different motherboards, but the same exact body, so the boards can be switched out only between dv66xx models.

Look up the specs on internet for your laptop, if it is not as old as the hills then you should be able to upgrade, via a slot at the bottom .

You may want to check your laptop manual if that is possible. I had a laptop that originally had 256MB of ram but the upgrade limit was to increase it to 1GB.

Yes you can. If you are confused, you can always go to your local computer shop and seek for assistance.
