I'm not too sure about it being the best prog on TV, but I must admit I find it quite interesting, if only to see a load of prats going in there looking for pots of money only to be shot down in flames when they suddenly realise that their product is actually a load of shite and they haven't done their homework or any research before presenting themselves to the Dragons.

Definitely one of the best programmes on tv...although I must admit, watching "The Apprentice USA" late night has me amused too. Its pure business genius by Donald Trump. Advertise yourself and your company by pretending to employ a complete idiot...then a year later drop them down to an insignificant job whilst you reap the benefits of the advertising you've got out of it. All that for the cost of one wage. Genius!

Dragons Den though is truly awesome. I sit on the edge of my seat every week and my heart beats like a drum watching the poor sods getting masacred. They're braver souls than me. I may need investment occasionally, but I wouldn't go through that on national tv!

In answer to your 2nd question, I wouldn't class myself as an entrepreneur as such as I believe that to be someone who flies with a completely original idea. I do however own my own design company so I am in business for myself. My first big money making scheme was selling tickets for an enormous christmas party at my sixth form college...there were three large colleges in the area and none of them had any kind of christmas celebration planned. So I hired a local venue and put on an enormous party (about 3000 people)...I advertised and sold tickets up front, but the majority of my sales were on the night...I managed to take over £15,000. That money saw me through university and bought me a new computer!

Good luck with your own deals...!

I enjoy it, but some of the dragons are too ****-sure and often get things wrong.
