Limp leaves usually result from some sort of problem with water or water uptake. You could have watered them too much, especially if you have suddenly given them a lot of water after a prolonged period of dryness. Such a situation would flood the roots, and promote root rot due to lack of oxygen; if the roots die, the plants die. If this is a plant in a pot, be sure that it's not sitting in water; very few plants like to have "wet feet."

Brown and limp leaves are often caused by too much sun. Hostas can take a full day of sun as long as they have constant moisture.

Maybe it's time for the foliage to go. Hosta plants die back when the weather becomes cool, and they will come back again next spring. When all the leaves turn brown(or yellow), pull it out the dead leaves. Just make sure you mark the spot, so you will know where your hostas are.

It can be scorch due to too much sun, especially if it's happening on the edges of the leaves. It can also be caused by too much water. Excess water can cause the feeder roots to rot and then the plant can't take up the water. Many people keep watering because "wilting" means no water to them, and that's true. But when the feeded roots are gone more water just keeps making the problem worse. If you water a lot ease up.
