I think you mean the show, Medium. It stars Patricia Arguette, who is blonde and many more pounds heavier than when she was making movies. Not to be confused with the show, Ghost Whisperer, which came out the next year after Mediium was a hit. No blonde but does have Jennifer Love Hewitt in the lead. She also helps solve crimes. Can you say rip off?
