My hypothesis is that 90% of Western people doesn't know what the true meaning of racism apart from the ultraliberalist leftist twisted interpretation, despite their strong aversion of being labelled as such. Or am I wrong?
The first to answer all of the following correctly gets the best answer status.
Is Jim a racist person if:

A. Jim says his friend Kenny is disgusting for lusting after children, but abstains from commenting a Muslim who married a nine-year old bride.

B. Jim think that wart-faced African actress is ugly.

C. Jim prefers Japanese over Chinese guests since they don't smell much (FOR THE SAKE OF EXAMPLES ONLY!!!).

D. There is a tribe called Anu who eat poop but Jim refuses to serve poop when Anu people came to his diner.

I would choose Obilee's as the best answer status, but s/he just confirmed to my point that most of you guys don't know what racism is.
It doesn't have to be about feeling superior to others. Racism is about discrimination based on race. If you are giving 2 different judgements on 2 cases that differ only on race, you are racist. Obilee's reasoning does not apply to A so s/he failed.

HAHAHAHA@ copy-paste. White-supremacy is merely a sub-set of racism, not the whole definition of it. You didn't pick which answer anyway, so bleh.

A. Yes, in section A Jim is because he is modifying his behaviour in response to the persons culture. However having said that, there could be other reasons why he is not commenting, ie. personal experiences in his life or he is displaying cultural tolerance and not applying his western beliefs to the other persons culture so it could be argued he is not being racist. But generally racism is whereby you treate a person differently, either favourably or disfavourably due to their perceived racial background.

B. In B he is not necessarily being racist since he may just not like the actresses appearance. His feelings about her are just his personal preference for appearance, it may have nothing to do with her perceived cultural background.

C. In C Jim is clearly being racist since he is making a huge generalisation about all Chinese. He is applying an expereince he may have had one to all Chinese. This is a huge generalisation.

D. In this case Jim is not being racist since it is the dish he has a problem with not the people. This is just his personal preference and is not a form of racism.

In conclusion it could be argued we are all racist to some extent, even though we don't like to admit it. The most racist statement is C. Discrimination is a form of racism.

Having relfected back on what I wrote and at risk of loosing the this competition, who made your so called defintion of racism correct and everybody elses wrong. I am a teacher, and from experience racism mean different things to different people. I don't think there is really any right or wrong answer.

None of those is racism as I view it, the person who said A I can't agree with. Our culture differs from others. You can certainly disagree with another races practices without being labeled as a racist. Racism is when you decide you don't like or even hate an individual you have never met, based purely on the persons race.

OK actually I suppose C would probably be considered racist since you are judging the entire race when in fact the truth would more likely be that some or even many chinese smell. Or is that discrimination? Damn now I'm confused. Yeah that's discrimination.

OK I'm going back to my original answer of non of them are racism.

Well if we have to define as it is... there it goes !!!
Racism is a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that ones own race is superior and has the right to rule others. Also it can be define as hatred or intolerance of another race or other races or believes and conditions.

None of the above. Racism is when one is judged solely by the racial or ethnic group to which they belong. A Racist sees someone's race. Racism is the conviction that the members of one race are inherently superior to the members of other races. So according to you it's C? why? It's like saying he prefers Japanese because they are prettier.. It's his taste..
