Not sure of your applications but Flatlites work great. I've been working with them for years on many different projects and they look awesome. Good Luck!

As the flooring is the most important concern here I would suggest you start with a good flooring manufacturer and tell them what you have in mind. They will then advise you as to the possibilities. DON'T start at one of the DIY superstores, as without expert help to start with you'll end up either with something you don't like/want, or doing something which could be potentially dangerous (Heat from underfloor lamps next to inflammable flooring materials for example). Get professional advice first, please!

You must be thinking of the Disco floors with under floor lighting. These are not all wood. Acrylic and glass are some of the materials.

Try going to the home depot. When we were remodeling, and had questions, we went there. And they gave us a lot of help and answers. It is also one of the cheapest places to buy your remodeling needs.
