Um...I guess I would...It would be hard to let go of my stuff. I already shop a lot and love my clothes. But for $5,000 worth of new stuff...yeah.

Heck ya! I'm trying to figure out what it would take to get on that show when I go back to work after a year of mat leave!!
I'm not entirely convinced they actually give up everything from their wardrobe though. Has anyone else noticed that on the show the people have like a double walk-in closet of clothes at home in the opening footage (where their family/friends are showing off all the cr*p clothes they've got) and when they pack up their stuff and go to the show they only have like 2 racks? What's up with that? (Do you think they're really giving up their WHOLE wardrobe?)

It would depend on what the rules were. And then, I'd have to get to New York City, which would involve an airplane and a hotel and all of that . . . yeah, if the rules let me go to one or two reliable sources and buy everything I needed, and paid for cabs between them, I'd probably be able to do it.
As to giving up my current wardrobe, I'd do that for some nicely fitted jeans skirts and a collection of long and short-sleeved tee-shirts. I'm thoroughly sick of my current wardrobe of cotton print shirtwaist dresses I made for myself, which got me through many years as a legal secretary.
