BC powders, Stanback powders, Goody powders(They are all powdered aspirin pretty much and aspirin is a blood thinner so it stops cramps which are really blood clots traveling out your body.). Those are the only things that help me with my period pain. Before I started taking those the pain used to be so bad that I would usually either throw up or stay in bed all day.

I take a Meftal-spas. Most of the time the drugs don't work. You just psychologically feel you are getting better. But do try keeping a hot water bag on your stomach, lower back and pelvic area-always works. Also, try having warm, soothing liquids like tea, coffee or soups and avoid cold drinks.

Midol or just plain asprin. If you are by yourself with nothing special to do, heat packs or a heated towel or heating pad do wonders also. If you don't have anything for heat, grab a tube sock, fill it with rice, tie a knot in the end, microwave it a minute or two and wrap it in a tshirt so it does not burn you-it will if it is not wrapped.

Aleve, ibuprofen, or midrin come to mind.
Calcium-magnesium-zinc pills 3 times daily with meals during your cycle also may give significant relief.
