I was thinking of getting a real tattoo on my shoulder, a trident symbol but is henna better? And I get it what is the smallest I can it (Visable so other people can see it) and the cheapest in Canadian dollars? If I get it smaller will it hurt less and can they freeze for half of the time or so I heard. I'm really sensitive to pain.

I would have to say wait a while on the real thing..... I have 2 tattoos right now and i had wanted them for years and i finally went and got them... the tattoo artist did put a spray on my stomach before i got my tattoo, it was supposed to numb the area a little bit.... it feels really cold... the area you put the tattoo will have a little bit to do with the amount of pain involved, i have one tattoo around my belly button, and one that runs from my hip all the way to the middle of my ribs...they hurt a little but it was more of a tickling pain to me, but if you cant handle any pain than you probably shouldnt do it. to me, mine were worth the pain because i designed them and they had meaning to me..... SO MAKE SURE IT IS TRULY SOMETHING YOU WANT, YOU WILL HAVE IT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE......

Henna is not permanent. Cheaper is not always better, I live in the GTA and have a Tattoo, my main concern was that it was done by a studio that was inspected by the government and safe and clean. Word of mouth is a good way to start to find a studio, ask around then do your own home work. If you are that concerned about the pain and who can see it you are not ready for a tattoo. You need to be doing this for your enjoyment no one elses. As far as the pain yes they do hurt, the outlining hurts more it feels like a cat continually dragging its nail through your skin.

Henna is temporary and is a better choice.

When it comes to a tattoo, my advice is... wait two years. I know it seems like a long time but a tattoo is forever. If you still want this tattoo after two years, then go for it! I keep hearing about how so many people regret getting a certain tattoo. Wait a long long time. You'll thank yourself for it.

If you are sensitive to pain you probably shouldn't get a tattoo... I have never in my life heard of freezing in any form with tattoos... plus if you next 2 main concerns are super small and super cheap my advice is don't get a real tattoo.....
