The best ones are the ones that time has proven to be most reliable such as Bulova, Elgin, Wittnauer, Westclox, Gruen, Waltham, Hamilton, Longiene and Seiko-unless by best you mean dependable and really expensive. In that case you would be looking for Rolex but it is really expensive. I have my grandparents' (and I am a grandparent), Bulovas, Walthams and Gruens and they still keep perfect time. The Bolivas had to be cleaned a couple of times tho to keep them on time but they are great watches.

ROLEX you will find them very cheap in China.(if you are visiting, but be care full for there they call it LOLEX)
