A good spot healer..?

Going to a party today... and I've got a huge red spot on my face!! What's a good remedy to make it less obvious...... and home-secrets!!??

TOOTHPASTE: I know it sounds odd but it works. It will dry the spot out and it should look much better after a few hours. Have a great night :-)

I know I am a bit late in answering this question, but I thought I would reply as you can use it for future reference.

Firstly, there is no miracle that will make a spot less obvious in a few hours apart from concealer I suppose, but that can make spots look even worse!

If you have a spot, and you need it to look better for the next day, then go buy yourself some hydrogen peroxide (3%) from any chemist or pharmacy. Then wash your face, dab dry and soak a cotton wool ball in the hydrogen peroxide. Hold to the spot for 10 minutes. It may burn a little, but this is to be expected. When you take the cotton wool away from your face you may notice the skin around it has gone whiter than the rest of your face. Don't worry, it will return to normal in a few minutes.

The hydrogen peroxide is great for drying up spots and making them disappear overnight. Due to the harshness of this product, I don't recommend using it on large areas of skin though. Its just an emergency treatment!

God love adolescence--try a yellow concealer if you are causaian with a huge red dot, or if you are darker skinned try a bronze color concealer.

Whatever you do--do NOT cake it on--apply your makeup normally, apply foundation and THEN dab on carefully the yellow--and just pat it around.

The other thing you can try to do, but its not necessairly going to make it better, is try a really hot facecloth, apply it for a few seconds, then carefully, carefully squeeze the pimpel & use the hot facecloth to "soak" it up--and heal it.

Then after about 3-5 minutes, switch to a really cold facecloth to lower swelling.

Get it to stop bleeding & everything--don't wipe it though!

Apply reg. concealer or a heavier amount of foundation over it and dust a matching powder over your face.

Hi you can get a spot cream from nutrogena clear skin, it reduces the spot as soon as you put it on. But the only other way is to pop it and then put some antiseptic cream on it or aftershave to dry it up but i hurts.

if you squeeze it put tooth paste on it to soothe the redness or use some tea tree oil to help it go away naturally, but if you do use a blemish cover up or foundation make sure that u mix it with some moisturiser otherwise it will make any dry/ dead skin even more visable and it will look ten time worse than if you left it alone

I use toothpaste on mine it really does dry them out. But you have to do it at night before you go to bed dab a little toothpaste on the spot and leave it on. wash your face as normal in the morning. It doesnt make it go away immediately usually have to do it a few times.
You can use concealer on it before you go out to hide it.

Well the best thing that works and really quickly is if you cut a strawberry in half and rub it on your spot leave it for a while! works miracles! also it makes your skin really soft, and it smells nice too!
