Yes, call Social Security...Do you all ready have an order from the court???? Whatever they take care of it...My sister gets it for her kid because his bioone gets SSI....

It will depend on how much the father has contributed to Social Security before becoming disabled and requiring SSI Benefits. However, yes the children qualify for benefits on his behalf. It is not the same as child support. Because he is indigent he cannot afford to pay child support.

Since he does have children and is on SSI, Social Security will pay a monthly benefit to each child. It is not a large amount but is the only means by wich he will meet his child care obligation.

Yes, He may get ssi for the children also. I am on social security disability and I get a check for my daughter too. Call social services.

SSI usually gives checks to the children.Its not as much as child support,but its something.I'm on SSI and I get a check for 159.00 for each of my children on top of what I get which is like early retirement.The kids should get checks.

Yes. Any income that the other parent makes is taken into consideration. The father has to be responsible too!!
