If both of you are friends than it should not be diffucult for u 2 propose, don't fear in this case. But if u r approaching her for the first time then i would say better make friend with her then it will become far more easier for you to proceed.

First thing to do is make sure you really love her.There is no need in getting married if your just gonna get divorced.
But when you feel like your ready you could take her to a romantic place or sit down on your couch.Just tell her how you feel and the words will just come to you as you talk.Just ask her is what it all comes down to.
