i didnt not start having any kind of back pain until now and i am 27 weeks, so i think it could be something else because the baby is very very small at 4 weeks, even at 14 weeks the baby is still very small

I didn't have the back pain you have, but I did have back pain. I do remember having some pain in my lower back where my kidneys are and it hurt so bad that I had to lay on my side with a heating pad. I didn't know I was pregnant at the time so I guess it was just stretching going on. Maybe, it is round ligament pain and stretching you are feeling. Just talk to your ob.

Oops, I overlooked the fact that you are thinking you are pregnant. Get ya a test. Then if you are pregnant, bring it up at your first appt. Good luck!

It could be but you know what it actually sounds like? A kidney stone or kidney infection. I have been hospitalized many times for both and if I were you, I wouldn't wait to see. Go to the doctor and tell them what is going on. Early pregnancy absolutely does not cause back pain like that. In fact, this last pregnancy, I didn't know I was pregnant and went in because of my back. They told me I was pregnant and that was all they were worried about. I said, "OK, fine. I'm pregnant. What about my back? It's f*cking killing me." That idiot physician's assistant looked at me like I was stupid and said, "You're pregnant. That can make your back hurt." Now, I've had three kids and yes, it can make your back hurt but not when the baby is the size of an apple seed. They sent me home and two days later I was back with a fever of over 103 AFTER taking two extra strength Tylenol. Turns out both my kidneys were completely blocked. I had to have emergency surgery. I could have died of uremic poisoning if I hadn't gone back! Make them take you seriously. By the way, a kidney infection can also make you vomit, feel nauseated and very, very tired. It can delay your period, too. I would go to the doctor as soon as you can. This is nothing to mess around with, I'm telling you. I could have died from it.

Well, I am a week and a day late, and i have had slight cramping, at least that's what i think it was, and my lower back was hurting for a while, kinda bad, but it stopped and i feel fine now, aside from feeling bloated.

I've never been pregnant so i really can't answer your question, but just thought i'd share :)

The lower back will cramp up from time to time and it intensifies As the pregnancy progresses. Growing pains. Its like cramping like you would have had with your period but in your lower back. Not to worry, it will bet better. Try to keep your feet elevated more often.

not me, my back pain only happens when I'm about to start. Haven't had any since I got knocked up. I'd be very pleased if I don't have to worry about it for the rest of the pregnancy but I doubt it.

Yup! I had all those things and then some. I had never heard about that all happening so early in pregnancy, until I got pregnant! Good luck and congratulations!!!

Yeppers i went through all of it. Back pain, abdominal pain, then i went through uteran pain (because of the stretching of the ligaments and the uterus). See your doctor tho if you have blood or the pain becomes extremely severe in the front or back.
