I know how to jack up my Mercedes, because it comes with its own awesome little wind-up jack.
That is where it ends.
The occasion has never arisen when I, with my delicate hands and lack of great strength, was forced to do this myself. I hope I'll never have to, because I don't believe I could lift the tire.

Yes, I do! Im female, 26, (if that matters, lol) and I've had to jack up my car and change my tire(s) many times in emergencies.
Always have a spare tire and the proper jack on hand of course.
do a small rehearsal, learn where to put the jack so when you DO have an emergency, you'll know where the safest place to put the jack. It could be dangerous if you just put the jack in a random place. They usually have a medal plate or something indicating the area where it's essential to place the jack, and it's usually right under either side (driver/passenger)of the front doors along the panel underneath!
Do you have a dad or grandpa around the house? they come in handy for emergencies about cars. *smile*

The thing about my big fancy jack is that I can jack it up but don't know how to get it down. Also, the lug nuts are on so tight I can never get them off anyways. So if I have to change a tire I'm at the mercy of strangers passing by who will help me. This happened once a long time ago and I felt bad I couldn't give the kid who helped me some money but I didn't have any on me.

I'm female, and I had to change a tire once when it blew out. I jacked up the car and changed it with little trouble. The next time I blew a tire, though, I let someone else change it for me!

No. I'm of the female gender and have never had to change a tire in my life. I would just stand by the side of the road and look pathetic till somebody came along to help me.

Yes, I do. I read the owner's manual. Plus, I attended a workshop on getting to know my new car.

Although, I never plan on changing the tire myself; that's what I have roadside assistance for.
