The male lion is the battle warrior.
A tiger would most likely lose to the "King of The Jungle."
Btw----A Polar Bear would make Kitty Pie out of either the Lion or Tiger though Tigers can and do take out huge Crocs(RIP Mr. Irwin) with ease.

Unfortunately, a tiger does outweigh a lion by a number of pounds. The lion has more endurance though and retains the single most effective strategy in hunting- teamwork. No other cat works as a team and the lion is not only the undisputed king of the jungle, but the undisputed king of cats as well. ^. .^

Tigers are more powerfull than lions because lions hunt in packs and tigers survive alone.

i would say that a lion is more powerful size and strength wise, but tigers are very smart and catlike, and stalk their prey better and they are faster. though i wld have to say in a fight my dibs are on a lion i would have to say that a tiger would put up a good fight as well.

tigers are build heavier than lions who hunt in packs, so one on one i'd say the tiger, and lions don't live anywhere near the jungle, but do you know who does...
