some chinease people do actually belive in God and others belive in buddah i think so they do believe in a god or jesus and the people who do this they have places where they go and they have big Vases and they put there letters of prayer in there it is either writen to Jesus or whoever the person believes in. and about the suicide well they have such high sandards and they are very proud people when they fail they are an embarassment to their families and they shame the whole family so that could be a reason why but the suicide rate here is high too i think ne way. but i would look it up about the suicide rate in china and in the us and campare the two and see how the rates compare if anything else it would be interesting.

China has several rich and well-populated religious traditions, despite governmental restrictions. This includes ancestory veneration and a pantheon of several hundred gods, some of home who are seen to reside in the house. There's also a very stable and tightly-knit social structure, based in part on the philosophies of Confucius. So they ain't exactly lacking for company.
You might be interested in reading more about the many different ways people have come up with for meeting the needs you mentioned through religious practice. It's really fascinating and will help you come to a deeper understanding of your own beliefs.
(Btw, Daoism/Taoism isn't a form of Buddhism. It was well established a few hundred years before Buddhism was introduced into China from India.)

They DEAL that's what. ;-) Some people are reliant on faith to deal with problems, but many are not That's true everywhere. I truly don't think that those with religion are any better dealing with stuff than those without, they just look in a different place. As far as suicide, the rate in China is probably not well known because the totalitarian gov't wouldn't release those kind of figures but charts I've seen of suicide rates by country point to Eastern Europe as having the highest. I don't think it has anything to do with religion.

Actually, most Chinese believe in Daoism, a version of Buddhism. There is no society that has a majority of atheists, but atheists generally have a lower rate of suicides than the general populace (hey, if you think this is all you've got, you stick around no matter how bad it gets). Atheists (secular humanists) usually rely on themselves or their loved ones in times of crisis.

They kill themselves and each other... Thats what you wanted to hear right???
What are you an idiot? Do you really think that this notion of their being a supreme being is new, shared only by enlightened white people?
Get a grip - there are actually people out there who don't need to lean on an imaginary all-powerful superfriend to lead a successful and positive life.

China has a religion, many religions in fact. Buddhism and ancestor worship among them. Simply because a country is not predominantly Christian does not mean it is Godless.

God doesn't make everything come true. If he, she, it or they did, then there would be no amputee's in the world.
