Why would people who are suppose to be so mannerly and polite and from the elite crowd be so rude?

It happens when the manners have lost their meaning. They do the polite thing amongst themselves because it's expected. The ones who are rude are the ones who think manners are only for the elite when it's meant to apply to everyone.

You said it yourself. Any group that considers themselves elite will always try to exclude people they don't consider to belong.

In my experience, most of them are not rude at all, but the ones who are tend to expect the world to be handed to them on a silver platter, and they throw a hissy fit when they don't get things exactly how they want them. In that case, manners kind of go out the window =/

elite are often rude.. the non elite are usually pretty cool. I try to stay in between adn pick out good individuals from whatever 'side'

It's called narcissism. They lack empathy towards the "lower class". They think because of their social and economic status that they can look down on everyone else. However it is the "lower class" that provides them with everything they eat, wear and drive.

coz they're all just pretentious and full of it. wealth, power and status goes to their head that's why they step on other people and do not give a rat's @ss. i've found that the nicest people aren't rich. it's the simpletons next door that just want to live a quiet happy life.

Because when ur around all those aloof bastards u pick up the habit of being an aloof bastard. and plus, they get what they want, and everyone does what they want them to do, so they think since they've got that, they van get what they want.
