DNA - from pubic hair or semen, etc is the #1 way - holds up in a court of law. But - sadly even this doesn't prove guilt since so many rapists say that the sex was consentual.

The #1 things in any crime is to find some DNA - it gives proof that that person was there - it takes other factors, such as testimony, witnesses, bruising, stabbing, strangulation in rape for example to prove it was not consentual - and even that does not always hold up. What is this world coming to?

So - to answer your question DNA proves that one person had sex with another - if available and even when and if a condom is used, there are normally hair fibers which are taken in a rape kit which is an exam done after a woman is raped. They also examine the pubic area for any cuts, bleeding etc which are often present in rapes. However, DNA alone can not prove guilt. It takes those other things that I mentioned to try to prove someones' guilt.

If a girl was a virgin for example and claimed to be raped, they would know that she was in fact raped after the rape kit testing was done which is a collection of any DNA, hairs, fibers, and a physical exam - this is why it is essential that women do not shower after this happens and it is the first thing that they want to do - obviously but if they do, they wash away the evidence.

DNA is unigue to almost everyone except some twins. DNA tests will prove 99.99% the identity of the rotten soul of a person that would rape.

DNA is extremely helpful if they have the offender's DNA on file. If they don't have it, they have to keep on looking until they can find someone to match the DNA.

That is a very good, effective way of proving that someone sexually abused another person but I don't think you can really like indentify someone like that. Like, you can't get a picture of someone with just their DNA.

4 days after the incident, DNA on the body is not likely to be got here across and indentified. even if....DNA on cloth products (outfits, linen, ect...) can nonetheless be recovered and indentified.
