How dare he whack your stuff off without your permission! The nerve! Does he happen to have any pet chickens in his backyard? If so, I would go back there and choke them. :)

If this hedge does not extend onto his property he has no business cutting that hedge!!! If he cuts anything, he can only cut the part that extends over to his property line. I would talk to the city attorney, and have a certified letter sent to him. You can call the police too, because this is destruction of your personal property and this is illegal!!! I would wack his hand off if someone cut my personal property! But you know, it does make sense, he does need to see where he is backing or driving, you guys need to get together and maybe just cut an area so that he can see. Then I would get some cuttings from that hedge and plant more of them in a different area. this is USA P.S. Ask this guy to leave your hedge alone and back in so he can pull straight out. if he wants to be stubborn or be a butt about it, well, remember he has no business touching your property!!!!

I'm not sure how your laws work but you may be liable if he would happen to have an accident and they can place the blame on the hedge, if it is truly a hazard. If not, run some wire thru the sumbitch so his clippers find a little surprise. You better make damn sure it's your hedge.

Sounds like destruction of private property to me, I would sue his butt if he did it again. But I would do this first. Install an electric fence hidden in the top of the hedge, Let him get a few thousand volts. Sounds fun doesn't it, Specially if neighbor is being a jerk

If it's your hedge (growing on your side )and your neighbor is trimming it without your permission, I think it's illegal. If the hedge is invading neighbor's space, it's your neighbor's to take care of it, but in this case, he should ask your permission first. You should tell him to ask you first!

Get your own back and go into his garden and cut down one of his trees or plants and tell him you can't see the sky through it! He has got no right unless it is hanging over his side of the boundary line and he can only cut it vertically upwards and not across the top! Neighbours can be very annoying can't they?

<>You could call the police. However, if he has a valid safety argument, you might have to have the town council (or equivalent) mediate the dispute.
