Say I drink a bottle of spring water. I don't finish it all and there is about 1/4 left. So I put the cap back on and throw it in the trash. The garbage man comes buy and takes my garbage away to the dump. My closed bottle of water is still among all of the trash laying in the dump. This means it will remain in the bottle and not be recycled back into the air. Now imagine if I drank 12 bottles of water a week and did this with all of them. Now picture 3 million other people similiar to me. Could this be a serious way of wasting drinking water? And of course I know you're supposed to recycle but many people don't.

A lot of people, instead of throwing away the water, pour the water out for plants or trees so at the very least, you are looking out for nature. Maybe try drinking all the water before kindly recycling the bottle, and really, how hard is it to recycle? Instead of the garbage, put it in the recycling bin. It's as simple as that.

Well to be technical, yes it is wasting. But you just have a bad habit that's all.I used to do this with every Coke I drank.Just try to finish the water and instead of throwing your bottle away
keep it and start using a water purifier at home.
You know, the ones you screw directly to the faucet.Reuse the bottle and then throw it away at the end of the week. Then buy another. Just
an idea to help you if you are concerned about wasting.
