Here in Nova Scotia (I don't know about other areas), students go to school Monday to Friday. They're off on Saturdays, Sundays, statutory holidays (e.g. Easter), one full week in March, almost 2 weeks at Christmas, and any other days the school board says teachers need for meetings, etc. And they wonder why students here don't learn anything. Plus they have early dismissal in our area on the first Monday of every month.
