YES I have 3 4 month old oscars and they eat a few small goldfish per day. I also have a few 3 to 4 year olds (they will grow in proportion to the tank there in. Betas will not) that can eat 6 huge goldfish (bigger overall than the Betas average body size) a day and still want more. Oscars will east anything they can get there mouth over inlcuding other Oscars. Remember a Oscar is nothing but a type of South American Fresh water Bass. Even If you add a very young oscar they will eat that pretty flashing beta the first chance they get, the Fins are like a lure to them..

The Oscars will kill the betta, if not right away, they will in a few months when the betta will fit in it's mouth. Even while they are small the Oscars will probably bully the betta to death anyway. There is no way to tell the sex of young Oscars, and they are very fast growing, expect an inch per month at that size. Eventual tank size for a couple of Oscars is around 90gal. preferably bigger. well it kinda depends on the size of the oscar, as they grow MUCH bigger that bettas & in that case yes the oscar would just eat the betta....if the oscar is very small still there would be a fight for sure but who would win??? got me, but Id go w the oscar as they seem to be a much hardier fish

I dont believe it is a good match. There are a very few number of fish that are acceptable tankmates with Bettas. Non nippy sorts and stay away from other surface breathing fish, they will be mistaken for another Betta. Snails and ghost shrmp are safe.

more then likely your Oscar will eat the betta, Oscars will eat anything that will fit in his mouth and oscars grow VERY fast so he will definetly eat the betta

Most likely it would, depending on the size of the two fish.
Betas also like their tanks warmer than oscars, and might die of shock if placed into a colder tank. Betas are pretty fragile in general, and moving it into a new tank might kill it anyway.
These two fish would not make good tank mates.

An Oscar will eat anything that it thinks will fit into it mouths and will kill everything else by trying to eat it.
