It depends on the type of black. Don't wear all black you'll look stupid. And always remember that the colour of your pants should be darker than your top and don't wear black sunglasses with a black top.
But do try some colours it's actually fun.

not all black. thats gothic. and i don' t know too many girls that thinks gothic is elegant. i would say like suits, or skater black with like the white and black checkered tie.
