i never looked at that phrase that way, and ur right...
it just depends on which word u stress...
if u stress the "are" then its like if u eat a pig, ur a pig...
but if u stress the first "we" then we are actually eating ourselves, not others...but i guess u can use "we" as all humans...
thats funny...we eat ourselves...owie!

No, that would be if we ate what we are.
The phrase means that what we eat has a direct affect on what we become physically -- healthy, fat, sick from too much greasy food -- the list goes on.

no, that is just a saying of a joke for if we eat pork then we are pigs,
