Has anyone ever heard anyone say they support troops then say "but i dont support..." usually they say war but it could be a few other things? did it ring in your brain? like there was something not so good about it? do you think that if you dont support what our troops do then you are not supporting the troops?
do you also feel uncontrolable rage towards people saying these things? or like michael moore, does he make you angry? do you feel like his only hope is suicide? if so say something about it, and go 2 points while your at it.

What chaps my hide is that these same people demand the very freedoms the warriors action give them. You brought up moore, the very right for him to bash our president for not going to Vietnam the first amendment....but he doesn't tell how he avoided military service all together. I think anyone who wants to speak out against the military should write a letter to every member of the armed forces who is serving or has served and thank them. Then they can say whatever they want.....But hey that's just my 2 points worth......

Those troops volunteered for the opportunity to serve our country. Those I have spoken with personally believe it is and was absolutely the right thing to do. My cousin is hoping to get sent back to Iraq soon - he believes in the cause so much. I too do not understand how people think they can support the troops while disagreeing with what they are doing and what they believe in. How is that supportive. They are saying, I support you, but not anything that you are doing. That doesn't make any sense. Perhaps they really do care about our troops or worry about the troops, but that is not the same as standing in support of them.
What do I do? I thank men and women in uniform for serving our country. I teach my children about the sacrifice they are making and why. I send care packages to friends and family serving overseas. I try to stand up for what they are doing and make an attempt to learn what good it is doing (the media doesn't help much with that one).

I don't believe in the war. But I suppose I would be one of those people you are talking about. I do support the troops because I believe that they are doing it for a reason. They believe in it enough to risk their lives. I may not agree but I would never speak against them for doing what they think is right. I don't want anyone to be hurt and that is why I support them. I support the men and women, not the cause. Why does that make me a bad person?

My future brother in law just came back from Iraq. I do support the troops and respect them for all they go thru. The thing is, I don't have to support the war in order to do that. A lot of the troops, my future brother in law included, do not support the war. I believe our troops make the greatest sacrifice of all and we owe it to them to make sure we do not send them into harm's way unless it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. I don't believe that is the current situation.

No matter what the government does that is our men and women over there. We have to be supportive of them. They believe they are helping to make our world better and to get them home we have to be strong with them. I used to feel like suisde was our only hope during desert storm. I am proud to say that I want to be here no matter what is going to happen. This may not be the end and I don't want to miss any sunrises.

I want our troops to have all the support they need- with tanks, armored vehicles, working equipment, a safe place to sleep, etc. (I'm a vet.) but I hate how our government is using them and not providing themn with proper training or properly equipped vehicles. Bush and his cronies suck!
Bring our soldiers home now.
