The thing is my guy friend knows that i only see him as just a guy friend. and he knows i'm not over my x but he feels like he could styll have a chance with me and he knows i just don't feel the same like that and i always tell him in such a nice way and it's not my nature to be so rude to people

What's wrong with telling your guy friend exactly what you just said " I think you're a good guy but I don't like you in that way. Besides, I'm still not over my ex. " Ask him to give you some space and spend less time around your guy friend. That way he won't have a chance to get too attached to you; and you will have more time to clear your head.
