Go to your Control Panel on the computer, and then "Add and Remove Programs". That window will list the Yahoo Toolbar and give you the option to remove it from your computer.

If you just want it to go away and not see it, then you can right-click somewhere to the right of "Help" or whatever in your browser's toolbars and un-check the line that says "Yahoo".

Control panel > Add/Remove programs > Remove Yahoo! toolbar from list and you're done.

Good luck.

Get a small screwdriver (the one with the red handle that's in the drawer in the kitchen by the tea bags will do)

Turn your computer round.
Unscrew those little silver screws round the top, sides and bottom.

Take the lid off your computer.
In there you will see the tool bar you want to get rid of.
Unscrew it and throw it over your left shoulder.

While you are at it, why not unscrew all those other little funny things?

They may come in handy when you're fixing the curtains tomorrow.

Bye
