IF there are real blood sucking vampires then I would think they have evolved enough to walk among us without us noticing. Afterall, this isnt the old days when you could go to another village and no one know you. Its much harder now. So, if you did drink blood, people WOULD notice. So, whats the best way to hide -- right in front of someones face!!! Could be your neighbor. Your girlfriend who likes to give u hickies or passion marks. The butcher, your doctor OR even you! Sunlight doesnt necessarily kill a vampire. Garlic doesnt always affect them and a stake thru the heart will kill ANYONE. Next time you go out at night and you see the garbage man who always seems to be picking up your grabage at night. Or the late night pizza delivery boy. Or the nurse at the Emergency Room who is alllllways there -- at night. Whos to say they are not there for other reasons?

As amatter of fact I do. I hvae spent a lot of time traveling, both in the states and abroad, I have seen more than myshare of the unusual. One of the things that you have to understand is that vampires, the real ones, don't necessarily need large anmounts of blood. In truth, from my experiences with them, they only need a few ounces at a feeding, the rest of the time they can and do eat regular food (althoughthey do tend to stay away from garlic and related things, not because it's fatal, but beause they are so repulsed by the scent). Also, they tend to gravitate towards industries and employment where their blood drinking would go unnoticed.
As for their reaction to sunlight, they don't spontaneously burst into flame, but they due suffer from skin rashes an blistering after short exposures (and no, sun block doesn't help). They are still more prevalent in Europe than in the states, although that is changing as more are surfacing.
As for someone being turned into a vampire, it does happen, but it isn't as easy as the movies say. In truth it takes a lot of exposure over a long period of time for someone to be turned, and most consciencious vampires won't turn someone without premission and often won't turn anyone at all.

Well, I played a biker that got attacked by a vampire in Vampire Biker Babes. She ripped me apart, threw my innards against the wall while I watches and screamed, drug me up the side of a building, and finished me off on the roof. And then in the sequel, I come back as a vampire.Sure, I'm cursed to roam the earth forever as the undead, but now I never have any trouble opening a can of motor oil for my Harley.
They're only real in the movies.

There are two types of vampires: psi (also known as psychic, psy, or energy) vampires, and sanguinarians, or blood vampires. Psi Vampires draw energy from others and use it to feed their own. Often, they gain additional powers from being attached by a vampiric spirit that activates certain psychic powers in exchange for being fed the life force of others, (and of themselves if they do not "feed"). Sanguinarians suck blood, usually from willing donors. This is not part of a religion, although it is often practiced by Gothic Pagans.

I believe in real vampires, but not the Dracula types. I feel there would be at least a smidgen of evidence that they exist at this point. There's been Bigfoot sightings, but no Dracula sightings.

It depends on how you look at it. There definitely isn't a different species of humanoids running around like you see in Underworld, but there are definitely people in the world who consume blood, even human blood. They may call themselves vampires, but they are simply people who practice such things as part of a pagan religion.

I do not think they are real. One, I believe in Jeses, and there are nno mention in the bibble about vampires, demans, not vampires. I know a few people who believe themselves to be vampires and witches, but I think that its all fun and games. My two cents worth
