If a woman consents sex with a man, she is participating in an activity which requires 2 people in equal participation. Why is it then that a man doesn't have say in the pregnancy and is treated as such a minor aspect in the whole thing? even if you go to a sperm bank ladies, it's coming from somewhere. If the woman can just decide to abort you baby without your say, why can't we males have say, or at least have the opportunity to refuse to pay child support if the child is birthed against our will. Too many crazy women try and use this upperhand as a malicious tool.

NUNNY BUNNY so what if she has to carry it seriously, it sucks but it's only 9 months, it's not anything like 18 years of paying out your cash monthly and barely seeing your child or having any rights in their upbringing.

i'm not even saying that men should have absolute rights on the subject, because it IS your body, i'm just saying, if you want to have the baby against my will go ahead, but i have the right to not pay child support.

primamaria04, thank you for your femenist reply, although there is alot of suffering involved in pregnancy, half the baby is still the males, it is his offspring as well as yours. I hate that women try to use their little kangaroo baby pouch to steal our babies, you can run around, drink or smoke and injure my baby, or act like it's YOUR baby only because it's in you. not all moms are good people that should be raising a kid alone or with anyone else. I just think we need more equal rights.

samiracat, this isn't RAPE remember, this is CONSENSUAL SEX, how about you keep it in your pants. Men are not always the instigators of sex, women have been known to want to take it out of their pants too from time to time.

Men may " donate " the sperm , but it is a woman's body where the child is housed. A fetus is for the lack of a better word a parsite. It feeds off of its host, it attachs to the walls of a woman's uterus with its cord . It takes it nourishment from the bloodstream of it's mother. If the woman is malnourished , the fetus will feed off her body. She can loose all the calcium in her teeth and her teeth. fetuses can create health problems in woman, diabetes, heart attacks and later on even cancer. Fetuses cause chemical changes in a woman's system, hormores change, and blood pressure changes. Women bodies are FOREVER changed by childbirth , C sections can create scars as can strech marks, weight gained can alter the bone structure causing bones spurs .
Women have breasts and lactate . If it were not for man made formlas in nature men would not be able to nourish babies through infancy and the offspring would not survive.
Men can as can women, refuse to pay child support. All you have to do is sign off on your parental rights. That means that you have NO rights to see that child ever, you can not demand visitation.
It takes a great deal of capitol to raise a baby. Diapers , food, clothes. It has been estimated that over a span of 18 yrs a child can cost upwards of 1 million dollars.Babies are expensive but worth the cost . Woman are often still awarded full care of her childen . Each partner should have an equal part in the expense of a child. It is difficult to pay for a child all by oneself.
**If you have the right to NOT pay child support , legally you do that right I do believe so. But morally do you have the right ? No because think about this for a minute .........Where your parents married ?or did they divorce and award custodody to your mother ,did your parents pay child support on you ? If they choose not to pay it out of defiance or whether they signed off on thier rights to you there would be less $$$$ to go around on food, clothing, shelter and education. " The More you know the more you grow" .The more that you know, the more people you influence, the more job oportunities and $$$$ you get. Kids who don't have $$$$ don't get to go to college and work dead end jobs. Or make it ok but struggle at first. It would be unfair to burden one parent with a huge responsibility .

Going to be REALLY blunt here....but if you absolutely don't want to "have a child birthed against [our] will", use a condom! Or have a vasectomy, with semen frozen as a backup, until you and a partner decide to conceive a child together.
Birth control is a joint issue. Just because someone says "well, it's safe" does NOT relieve the other party of responsibility for controlling his/her own fertility.
Yes, there can be bad situations when a woman lies about contraception, or when 2 people decide to "be grownups and you can LOOOOVE me by having MY CHILD". Rough for the support-payer; even rougher though is for the kid to grow up with being conceived under such senseless circumstances. Or growing up without adequate financial support.
Wrap it up, man, or keep it in your pants!----until you are as ***humanly sure as possible*** that you and the partner are communicating honestly and clearly about childbearing intentions, either in or out of marriage.

I can't say anything about other chicks but when I did get pregnant it was a mutual decision. If it was with someone else I would ask him what he wanted.
But then there are some chicks that fool around behind their boyfriend's back and gets pregnant and she has to cover herself by terminating it so he doesn't find out...
Unfortunately, a lot of times the woman doesn't want it because it might screw her life up and she takes care of things without asking the father.
It is a sad thing that many women take advantage of that. There are a lot of evil women so, where a cap every time.

The mother should have more say in this arguement then the man because it IS her body and she IS the one carrying the child and giving birth but I also believe the man should have a say as well. Sex is a double consented act and the man should be able to say yay or nay to certain things. Sometimes it is better for the father not to be in the picture but other times it is the man paying out the *** in child support and he is a good man and doesn't get to see his child. It's a win/lose situation and it can be very sad.

I think the "you don't have to carry it for 9 months" thing is total BS. I agree with you that when you consent to sex you agree to the fact that you might just get pregnant. If you do get pregnant you face certain responsibilites. Ladies, it's not that hard to take a pill once a day. Believe me I've done it successfully for the last 5 years. That child is half that man's DNA just as it is yours. If that man is willing to raise it and support it when you just want to abort it you should have to carry it to term. He should have the right to decide what happens because it's his kid too. But on the fair side of that coin, if she wants to have that kid then you need to face your responsibilities too, it is a two way street.
I hate women who want to have their cake and eat it too in this situation.
