Well, I wouldn't say fought, more like "disagreed" with each other. I've known my hubby for a total of 6 yrs. We were best friends before tying the knot. As best friends, we discovered each other's good and bad side and we didn't always agree on things, even to this day (been married 2 1/2 yrs) but we always try to resolve our issues and have learned how to fight fairly without screaming or yelling or b!itching at each other. The hardest thing for us was learning not to cut each other off during our so called "discussions" and we also learned how to cease the disagreement when one of us is getting "very hot under the collar" lol....He or I would leave the house for a few minutes until we have cooled off and then return to discussing the disagreement in a calm manner.
The most important thing is: If the fight is about something small or stupid, we let it go because it won't matter the next day anyway. It takes practice but I've never met a couple who never fought yet.,

I think that sometimes when you fight...you are able to clear the air and reach an understanding. But fighting all the time is unpleasant and emotionally draining.....I can't imagine doing that for the rest of my life. I would be really unhappy after a while.
I think that all people strive for a peacefull co-existance rather than conflict in their lives all the time....the drama gets to be a little too much.
I don't think I would marry someone I fight with all the time....things would have to be better for a long time before I would. Maybe that's called compatibility.
Just my thoughts....

Why would anybody want to get married with someone they are constantly fighting with. It just doesn't make sense.!! Marriage is commitment, understanding, closeness and love. If you are arguing all the time before you get married, what makes you think it's gonna get better?

We never fought unitl the night before our wedding. We were just so stressed out and I was annoyed with my family.
Like most of our bickerings, it did not last very long. We were back in each other's arms soon after.
