Belive me NOKIA is Junk. Actually worse than what Junk is. I got a nokia mobile and it is 6 months beyond the warranty period with a simple fault but the authorised dealers says that the phone is damaged at that motherboard level and is completely useless. All this just because I did not go for an annual maintenance plan with him after the warranty period ended. Serviceability of mobile phone is also an important factor. Nokia sucks in that case. Motorola or sony erricson is better...actualy LG is also not bad.

I, as a personal opinion, will go with Sony Ericsson...NOT THAT NOKIA IS THE BEST, but what i am trying to say here is that Nokia is just famous for it's user-friendliness and wide range of phones that just change by design and not features...
Sony Ericsson, on the other hand is way ahead of Nokia in terms of technology, great features...You get much more in a Sony than what you would get in a nokia at the same price..

As for motorola, their phones are just okay... looks-wise and not feature-wise, i just like their Razr and Pebl...Slvr is allright too...

Samsung phones were just not meant to be...so-so phones...

I have owned Nokias ever since I had a cell phone, and they are the best phones I have ever had in terms of quality and features. I now have a Sony Erikson W600, and it rocks, but the call qulity is not like Nokias. I would say if Nokia is a 10, Sony Erikson is a 9.

Actually there's no best brand. I could find loopholes in phones of any brand. It really the features that you need and the looks that appeal to you.

I personally think Sony Ericsson getting hot, but just look at their symbian phones....??

Nokia has been holding its ground all these while, and the N series of phones are good, but all of them use camera slide covers, which become loose over time....

Ok, so much for my 2 favourite brands.

I have a Sanyo and a Audiovox. The Sanyo was the first fliptop that came out with picture taking ability I think. Audiovox was great for messaging, lighted keys and easy to view screen even in sunlight. I once took a picture of a skin problem I had, showed it to my doctor and he proscribed the correct medicine to deal with it which before the picture, I couldn't describe the problem well enough to get the right diagnosis and treatment. So cell phones are elementary digital cameras and can save lives. However they can also be a royal pain, so don't get hooked on aimless chatter just to be part of a in-crowd.

Actually, Nokia sucks. Sure they have phones that usually get and hold good signals, but the technology they use is far behind the competitiors.

Samsung is okay (depending on the model), but their software is craptacular. A lot of their phones have bad reception, too.

For the dollar, Motorola knows what the hell they're doing. They're very user-friendly, have the latest and greatest software and technology, and most of their phones (except the Razr) get good signals.

Depending on your service company, Motorola has been a better brand for my family than others. I think they just make good phones that pick up the signals better in bad service areas.
