I disagree. The political systems does play a very important role in maintaining a safe and productive society, even though it doesn't always seem that way. Many of the egos we see are a product of the system they have to fight their way through in order to make a difference. True, some people want to be in politics just for self-gratification, but that's not the point of politics, itself.

Well politics is a product of humans so ego is always involved. However I would say that some politicians do start out with ideals of changing the world. That changes once they enter office.

If politics was really "all" b.s., then that would mean that every single law on the books should never have been enacted in the first place. Are all laws unjust?

Are you kidding? Of course politics is all bullshit. They tell you anything that you want to hear in order to get your vote. After that, they couldn't give a ****, until the next election cycle.
