1. Read your computer's instruction manual with regard to all safety instructions.
2. Make sure that you have discharged any static and have secured your self to the computer case so that you're grounded against static discharge.
4. Remove the computer case. Locate the RAM memory slots.

Buy the chip you need for memory upgrade, open the back of your PC or however you get to the intestine of the computer and look for the similar memory drive already in there. Plug it in to an open gateway.

open the side....while it is off of course and I would recommend unplugging it as well. Touch the metal on the case to discharge the static take the old one out and place in anti static envelope and bring it down to buy similar type...does not have to be same manufacturer just same kind like DDR SDRAM..there are different amounts of pins just get the same crap. Then put it in an empty slot and off you go. hopefully..........Usually it is the simple things that start a chain reaction to disaster......just be careful of the static that is all.
