Da ben dan...it happened to you too, huh? I'm starting to think that yahoo deletes anything a GLBT person says to defend themselves. That's all I've done and I've been in violation three times, while everything I report lives on, no matter how hateful it is. People can get by with typing f-a-gg-ots and have the question stick, but if I tell any homophobe to "get a ****** life", I'm in violation of "insulting other participants". It friggen sucks!

That depends on what your question was. If you violated their guidelines then that was a change you was taking when you posted the question. When you said that "yahoo doesn't want your business" was your question about advertising your business to yahoo or other users?
Some people get reported for the stupidest things other deserve it and need to be reported. However the point is when you post a question that violates their guidelines you are taking a chance of it getting removed. Dont expect anything less.

I am all for freedom of speech but I still think we need guidelines and boundaries to work within.
It is a fact of life that not everyone is going to accept or agree with everything you say and that's OK for the most part.
But too many people on this site cross the line into unacceptable behaviour, in my opinion.
Some of the things I've read since I started using this site have truly made me sick. I have never, ever, encountered the levels of racism, homophobia, and perversion in my life than I do when I am using this site.
And yes, people have a right to think the way they do and express these thoughts publicly. That is the foundation of democracy.
I just wonder how many people would be brave enough to post their thoughts if our anonymity wasn't assured?

your question wasnt really a question, that is what im thinking you got a notice for. this is a question and answer site and you were making a statement that could be classed as chatty and thats not what we are here for as yahoo has many other sites to chat on.
i know it seems harsh but thats the guidelines you were asked to follow when you joined here. hope this helps.

sometimes i think yh rats are reading my question and answers alone, and nobody elses, ive been in violation i dont know how many times. i just had a question removed because it was chatting.(how many of u people want some cake and icecream, already had some)that was the question. man, is that q full of profanities, racial slures, adult content, its not chatting unless they dont think i should be talking to myself. yeah, they are unfair and need to redo their guidelines, and ease way up.chatting about cake&icecream. its a no no, but chat away about sex, race, god,

I kind of feel like they need to revisit the rules and lighten up on that part of the community guidelines. For those of us who do come here regularly, it does begin to feel like a social fraternity of sorts. And the very word they use, "community," implies that we would feel a cameraderie with each other and sometimes do things like that. I don't see a whole lot of it, and when you read the replies that type of thing gets, it seems like most people on here don't mind it either. It usually is well-received and responded to warmly.

It's annoying right? I had a question removed because my sister answered it and I picked her as the best answer not because it was my sister but because it was in fact the best answer.. and everyone else was insulting. We don't even live in the same state.. I think some people take this reporting thing a little to far.

I answered one question "No. 2 pts." and was reported! Other ppl curse and hurt others and speak of all types of vile and personal issues but a simple no 2pts got me reported! Go figure!I had never put 2 pts down before and I will never again even though I see others do it all of the time.

absolutely...not matter how rascist your question is...freedom of speech is the only thing that separates us from the animals...I dont agree with any of the rascist crap that is said...but this should be an open forum where anything goes and no one should be able to regulate anything...I personally hate all the stupid questions and crap questions but it is your right, even over the internet...except you entered into a "conract" more or less when you accepted the rights and rules of Yahoo Answers so dont be surprised...go read them

I've noticed that they have really gotten strict with things like chatting, but I also noticed that when something is really"bad" and reported, that it is removed quite quickly.
