It's a status symbol among hip Hollywood actresses to have a "boy toy." She happened to get a famous one so she married him. They'll divorce in 3 years and she'll find a new one.

Age apparently doesn't matter to some people - it's the CHEMISTRY between them that counts! How can YOU know for certain that YOU will not someday be attracted to someone who happens to be older??! You CAN'T!
My mother is 21 years older than her husband, and they've been together for 32 years now. They've been happily married for the past 25 of them, and will be till "death do them part". Despite the vast age difference, they're TWO PEAS IN A POD!!! Looks to me like Demi & Ashton are, as well. I think they make a nice couple! She is NOT "over-the-hill", and if Ashton is a man of any CHARACTER (and I think he IS) - then he will still stick around even when she IS really old. You need to see things beyond the superficial level to grasp what I'm saying here!
Personally, though, I couldn't see myself with a much younger man, mainly because it would be nearly impossible to find one on my own intellectual level. I don't WANT a "boy-toy" - or a "trophy" - or even someone who can't share memories of past decades with me. I want someone who is on my same "WAVELENGTH"! I think it is somewhat rare to find two people with such an age difference who can truly relate, but obviously, we see many many living examples all the time!

Demi is attracted to Ashton because he's a trophy husband. He's an attractive, younger man who she can have on her shoulder and say, "Hey! Look what I got! And I'm over 40!" Ashton is attracted to Demi because she is an older, experienced, and still attractive woman. It's really quite simple.

She has apparently claimed he is her "soulmate" and he has said there was an instant attraction. This could be, but I also think she is trying to stay young and recapture her youth. She looked so much better before all of her surgeries and fake veneers if you ask me. He of course thinks he has quite the famous catch. I also think his relationship is distracting him from his career a bit. Seems to be slowing him down.

Well, I am considerably older than Ashton as well - and he's adorable. I have to assume that beyond physical attributes, when they got to know each other, the age difference just slipped away.

Because he's a hot young stallion and she liked that ride! both are very attractive. she looks better than alot of these younger women. he may not be alot in the brain but jeez o pete what a hot bod! i bet the sex is phenominal!!
